The Surface Pro 7 with Type Cover is $599 at Best Buy

If you’re looking for a Microsoft tablet, or just a new, efficient tablet in general, then snagging the entry level Surface Pro 7 during this sale might be just the opportunity you’ve been waiting for. It’s certainly a better deal at this price than say, the Surface Go 2, but there are a few wrinkles to talk about in going this route.

The Surface Pro 2 is perfect for general use and office work and is the preeminent choice among Windows tablets. It sports a  12.3-inch display, dependable performance, and one of the best keyboard covers for any tablet. This is the tablet you get if you intend to run PC-class apps and do a lot of typing. There’s support for the optional Surface Pen as well, for the artists and penmanship aficionados among us.

The aforementioned wrinkles come in the form of this specific model’s design. The dual-core i3 chip and 4GB of RAM are more than enough for light uses like Office, video streaming and web browsing, but you won’t be rendering videos or hitting 120fps on Apex Legends any time soon. The 128GB of storage is a bit small by today’s standards, but can be circumvented with microSD expansions. The battery life for the  Core i5  unit hits roughly around eight hours of regular use. However, the Core i3 may fare better under similar conditions. If you’re fine with these specifications, then I wholly suggest snagging this unit for its current sale price.
