Every time a new ‘Hero’ based competitive game is announced there is a collective eye roll and groan, that emanates from deep within all of us. Too often publishers make big promises of high skill, squad based, engaging experiences with a big competitive scene. Too often they under deliver on their claims. Of course, there have been exceptions to the rule; such as Riot Game‘s most recent title, Valorant. Now, Relentless Studios backed by Amazon Games is stepping into the ring with Crucible. “For a Brick, he flew pretty good!”

The Halo franchise is Legendary and poised to be forever etched into the annals of video game history. Today, we celebrate another momentous occasion for the franchise as the Remastered Halo 2 arrives later today for the PC version of the Master Chief Collection. While many have differing views regarding 343i‘s entries with Halo 4 and Halo 5: Guardians, both games performed well and maintained a healthy fanbase. One of their biggest and most divisive projects was the jam packed Master Chief Collection, which was originally only available for the Xbox One family of consoles. Loba Lands in Apex

Tomorrow, in fact! Moments ago, the main Apex Twitter Account tweeted out the official launch trailer for their newest character, Loba. The Outland’s greatest thief ushers in the 5th Season of the game’s long running tenure, Fortune’s Favor. The Narrative is Changing

Traditionally, when we began to move into the next generation of consoles, the shift would be preceded by promises of jaw dropping visual enhancements. More polygons! More detail! More content! Bigger! BETTER! For all intents and purposes, manufacturers and developers alike have made good on this promise. However, coming off the back of current technology, the 9th generation of consoles are  promising something different. Something far more valuable than a few extra polygons; something consumers should start taking notice of.
